Our firearms training is private, professional, and tailored to each client. Instruction is based on modern firearm handling principles developed within the Naval Special Operations community, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and real-world application.Training is focused on practical, scalable skills grounded in current best practices—not theatrics or outdated methods—and is adapted to meet shooters at their experience level, from first-time firearm owners to seasoned professionals.

What to Expect During Training
Training is conducted in a structured, professional manner tailored to the individual goals and experience level of each client.Prior to training, clients will complete a brief intake form to identify:
Experience level
Firearms and equipment being used
Specific skills or areas of focus
Training goals and expectations
This allows instruction time to be used efficiently and ensures training is relevant, focused, and appropriate for the student and the hosting range.At the range, instruction is delivered through a combination of:
Demonstration
Guided dry practice (when appropriate)
Live-fire drills scaled to the student’s ability
Throughout the session, emphasis is placed on safety, fundamentals, and identifying areas where improvement will have the greatest impact.
Firearms Platforms & Equipment
Clients are responsible for providing their own firearms, ammunition, and personal protective equipment, including eye and ear protection. These items are available at most training locations.Targets are included as part of training.For clients who are unsure what equipment to rent, purchase, or bring, guidance is available as part of the training and consulting process. This includes:
Proper weapon setup and attachment placement
Equipment selection and configuration
Firearm purchasing consultation
This allows students to understand not just how to shoot, but why equipment choices matter.
What This Training Is — and Is Not

Theatrical or “John Wick” shooting
Close-quarters battle (CQB) or structure clearing
Long-range precision marksmanship

Training is conducted at established, professionally managed shooting ranges where instruction is permitted and safety standards are enforced. Our Instructors are NRA Certified with liability insurance coverage.We currently provide training at the following locations:
Nexus Shooting - Davie, FL
Shoot Straight - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Homestead Training Center - Homestead, FL

Safety & Expectations
All training is conducted under strict safety standards and in compliance with range rules and policies. Students are expected to follow all instructions, demonstrate safe firearm handling at all times, and understand that training may be modified or terminated if safety becomes a concern.
Training Requirements
In order to be eligible for training you must be able to meet the following requirements:
U.S. Citizen
18 years of age or older
Be legally permitted to possess firearms
Foundations & Fundamentals
New shooters are welcome and encouraged!Instruction for first-time firearm owners focuses on:
Safe firearm handling and range etiquette
Understanding how firearms function
Proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control
Building confidence through deliberate, structured progression
No prior experience is required. Training is conducted in a controlled and supportive environment, designed to establish strong fundamentals that serve as a foundation for future skill development.
Skill Development & Progression
Firearms proficiency is built through structured progression, not one-time instruction.As students advance, training may include:
Marksmanship at varying distances
Emergency and tactical reloads
Clearing common firearm malfunctions
Engaging multiple targets
Drawing from outside-the-waistband (OWB) and inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters
Rifle sling use and management
Rifle-to-pistol transitions
Efficient employment of iron sights, red dots, magnified optics, and scopes
Weapon setup and configuration
Progression is always based on demonstrated safety, competence, and range limitations.
Advanced & Applied Shooting Concepts
For experienced shooters and professionals, instruction can incorporate more advanced applications when appropriate and permitted by the hosting range.These may include:
Shooting on the move
Movement and positional shooting
Use of cover and barricades
Low-light shooting with handheld and weapon-mounted lights
Night Vision shooting and movement
Advanced training emphasizes accountability, decision-making, and disciplined execution—not speed for its own sake.

CPR/ First Responder Course
Stop the Bleed® is a short, hands-on training course that teaches everyday people how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly in an emergency. Participants learn how to apply direct pressure, pack a wound, and use a tourniquet to control severe bleeding until professional help arrives. The course is designed to be practical, easy to understand, and empowering—giving individuals the confidence to save a life in critical situations.

About Us
We exist to deliver professional firearms and medical training rooted in safety, accountability, and proven methods—preparing individuals to perform with confidence when it matters.
Brandon Fenton
I am a former U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and Dive Medical Technician supporting Naval Special Warfare and Naval Special Operations units in high-risk training and operational environments. During my career, I served as the primary instructor at Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Mobile Unit Five, for small arms and tactical medical training, delivering comprehensive instruction in firearms, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), emergency procedures, and field-expedient medical techniques, including fresh whole blood transfusions. My background includes proficiency in firearms, high-risk medicine, diving operations, and small-unit tactics, with multiple Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals awarded for firearm and medical instruction. Training is a passion of mine, and I love being able to teach students the skills I've learned throughout my career.

1. Services ProvidedBlack Flag Training and Consulting LLC provides firearms instruction, medical training, preparedness education, and consulting services. All training is conducted at approved facilities or agreed-upon locations and is subject to availability, safety considerations, and applicable laws.2. EligibilityParticipants must be legally permitted to possess and handle firearms under federal, state, and local law. Participants must be U.S. Citizens. Participants must be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise approved in writing and accompanied by a legal guardian.3. Safety & ConductAll participants are required to follow instructor guidance, safety rules, and facility regulations at all times. Unsafe behavior, failure to follow instructions, or impairment by drugs or alcohol will result in immediate termination of training without refund.4. Assumption of RiskParticipants acknowledge that firearms training and medical instruction involve inherent risks. By participating in training or consulting services, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities.5. Liability WaiverParticipation in any training or instruction requires completion of a signed liability waiver prior to services being rendered. Failure to complete the waiver will result in denial of participation.6. Payments, Cancellations & RefundsPayment is required prior to scheduled training unless otherwise agreed upon. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for rescheduling. No-shows or late cancellations may forfeit payment.7. Consulting ServicesConsulting services, including firearms purchasing guidance, equipment recommendations, and preparedness planning, are advisory in nature. Final decisions and actions taken based on consulting guidance are the sole responsibility of the client.8. Intellectual PropertyAll training materials, course content, and instructional methods remain the property of Black Flag Training and Consulting LLC and may not be reproduced, recorded, or distributed without written permission.9. Media ReleaseUnless otherwise requested in writing, participants may be photographed or recorded during training for promotional or educational purposes. Participants may opt out at any time.10. Legal ComplianceAll services are provided in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Participants are responsible for understanding and complying with all laws relevant to their participation.11. Governing LawThese Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
